Refund Policy

14 days, money back, no argument.

Last updated 15 September 2026

The Short Version

A full refund is available within 14 days of a first purchase, for any reason. Ask, and the money is returned. No justification is required.

The rest of this page explains how, and the few situations where it does not apply.

Why a Trial Comes First

EdgeProof offers a free trial precisely so that the Software can be evaluated before any money changes hands. Trying it first is strongly encouraged — it tells you far more than a refund policy can.

The trial runs for 14 days and gives access to the full Professional edition.

The trial and this refund policy are two separate things, one after the other: the trial happens before any payment, and the 14-day money-back window starts on the date of purchase.

The 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

Within 14 days of a first license purchase, a full refund is available on request, for any reason at all.

This is a voluntary guarantee, offered in addition to — not instead of — any statutory rights a consumer has under local law.

After the 14 Days

What happens next depends on how the license was bought.

Purchase typeAfter the 14-day window
YearlyNo refund for the current year. Cancel at any time and the plan will not renew. Each renewal carries its own fresh 14-day window — see below.
One-TimeNo refund after the 14-day window. There is no recurring charge to cancel.

Renewals get their own 14 days

A yearly plan that renews starts a new 14-day money-back window from the date of the renewal charge. A full refund of that renewal is available on request within those 14 days, for any reason, exactly as for a first purchase.

A reminder is sent before every renewal, so a renewal should never be a surprise.

Together these mean an annual plan is never locked in for a year without a way out: there is a reminder before the charge, and two weeks after it to change your mind.

Why there is no part-year refund

A Yearly license is sold as a year. That is the unit being purchased, and its price reflects the full term — not a run of shorter periods that can be stopped partway.

There is also a straightforward way to avoid the commitment entirely: the One-Time license is bought once, never renews, and has nothing to cancel.

Anyone who would rather not commit to a year has the 14-day free trial to evaluate the Software fully before paying anything at all.

How to Request a Refund

Because Paddle is the merchant of record, Paddle processes the refund and returns the money to the original payment method.

Either route works, and the first is usually faster:

  1. Contact Paddle directly, using the link on the receipt Paddle emailed at the time of purchase. Paddle handles refunds around the clock and does not need to wait for us.
  2. Or contact us at support@edgeproof.pro, with the email address used at purchase or the Paddle order reference. We will authorise it with Paddle, normally within 2 business days.

Timing. Once Paddle issues the refund, the money typically appears within 5–10 business days, depending on the bank or card issuer.

The license terminates when the refund is issued. The right to use the Software ends at that moment, and continuing to use it afterwards is a breach of the End User Licence Agreement. Please uninstall it.

What Is Not Covered

Requests are declined where:

  • more than 14 days have passed since the purchase or renewal being disputed, and no statutory right applies;
  • the request follows a licence-term breach — redistribution, key sharing, or tampering with activation;
  • it is a repeat purchase-and-refund cycle by the same person, which is use without payment rather than evaluation;
  • the request is for trading losses. This one deserves stating plainly rather than burying.

Trading losses are not grounds for a refund

EdgeProof is software for analysing how a strategy behaved on historical data. It is not a trading signal service, it makes no promise of profitability, and it places no orders.

The decision to trade any strategy, at any size, with any amount of capital, is entirely the user's own — as is the outcome. A losing trade, a losing month, or a strategy that performed worse live than in backtest is not a product fault and is not refundable.

This is set out in full in the Risk Disclaimer, which should be read before buying.

Chargebacks

Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank.

A chargeback costs us a fee on top of the refunded amount and takes months to resolve, whereas a refund requested directly is usually authorised within days. Where a chargeback is raised without contact first, the associated license and account may be suspended.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The version that applies to a purchase is the one published on the day the purchase was made.
