Decision Framework
Go / no-go gates, in order.
Work through these in order. Each is a filter — stop at the first one the strategy fails, rather than pushing forward hoping a later stage will redeem it.

| Feasibility | Positive profit, plausible drawdown, no obvious data issues |
| Optimization | More than one acceptable parameter area — not a single isolated spike |
| Candidates — Equity Curve | No staircase, no flattening tail |
| Candidates — Monte Carlo | Median outcome still acceptable; 5th-percentile drawdown survivable at your account size |
| WFO Config matrix | A green cluster, not an isolated cell; different segments picking different winners |
| Validation | Profitable; drawdown manageable; gap to the Initial baseline understood, not ignored |
If any stage fails, the right move is almost always to pause and revisit the strategy or parameter space — not to push a marginal result into Live Trading and hope.
